Remove the 2 anti-static bridges using a 15W-25W soldering iron and desoldering braid.
| Use your screw driver to push in the plastic gear. Pull the tray about half way out.
| Remove the 4 screws using a Philips screwdriver and remove the top cover.
| Release the laser cable by gently pressing the cable lock to the rear and down from its up (locked) position. Flip the drive over and remove the bottom cover.
| Using your thunbs, press the black plastic tabs toward the outward edge of the circuit board. The circuit board can now be flipped toward the front of the drive.
| Inside the plastic cup on the right toward the rear of the drive is a small Philips head screw. Remove the screw and then remove the plastic cap. The rail is now free. Lift up the rail to remove the old laser. Swap over the plastic laser guide arm and revers the above and your new laser is installed.
