Remove the anti-static bridge using a 15-25W soldering iron and desoldering braid.

Remove the 4 screws using a Philips screwdriver. Flip the drive and remove the top cover.

Use your Philips screwdrive to move the plastic gear to the left to open the tray.

Remove the 2 screws as indicated in the picture (1 and 2). Afterwards, use your thumb and press the black plastic tab toward the left (3). The brace can freed by lifting slightly upwards and moved to the left. The rails are now exposed and the laser can be freed. Swap over the plastic guide arm and reverse the above procedure and your new laser is installed.
